Shadowdark RPG is a fresh take on classic fantasy role-playing. It captures the spirit of old-school gaming while incorporating the advancements of the last half-century. In many ways, it's a streamlined version of Dungeons & Dragons 5th edition, prioritizing speed and simplicity without sacrificing the fun and adventure that define the genre.
While Shadowdark offers a robust foundation for exciting gameplay, some elements essential for long-term campaigns were initially missing. To address this, I've introduced modifications to the magic system and implemented multiclassing options. These changes have been designed to maintain the game's core simplicity while expanding its depth and versatility.
To ensure a smooth transition, I've leveraged much of the existing content from the official Shadowdark rulebook. This approach allows players to quickly adapt to the new mechanics while enjoying familiar elements of the game world.
